Slide on weights

The basic OLY yacht weighs under 750g, so there is an option of adding slide on weights to the axles, for when the wind builds. Simple casting net weights from the fishing shop crushed in a vice around a spare piece of axle does the trick. They work very well. I can manage 4-6 (in total) on the axles. Secure them with rubber o-rings. Easy to put on and add. Put the o-rings on the axles before assembling the axle and wheel.

NOTE: heavy boats go slow unless it’s blowing dogs off chains. Keep your boat light without sacrificing stability.
